Original BoatCast writing for recreational skippers — a growing library of long-form marine weather articles, not a forecast dump and not auto-generated city pages. Use these with the live map, not instead of a last look at conditions. Last updated August 23, 2026.
Most marine-weather sites either reprint model charts or sell a gadget. These guides are the middle: how a weekend skipper should think about wind, chop, storms, visibility, official marine text, breeze cycles, fronts, cold water, float plans, boat type, and local amplifiers before the trailer hitch goes on. The library currently includes 30 original long-form articles.
Each article is written to stand on its own as education. They do not replace an official NWS marine forecast, a float plan, or the decision to stay in.
